Happy Birthday Mason!

Our friends Brandi and Sean's son Mason turned 1 this weekend so we went to his birthday party to celebrate with him. It was also the day of the Steelers game, so Nais and I had to wear our gear.

Naison loves playing with other kids, so he was totally entertained. There were a lot of kiddos running around. There was even a balloon man that made Nais a little caterpillar. He ate pizza in the red wagon and then had some cake. He was worn out by the end of the day.....AND the STEELERS WON!
Mason was loving his birthday cake. Look at that face. Happy Birthday Mason!

Another Baby Shower!

Yay for babies! I went to circus themed baby shower this last weekend for Cortney Young (Walker). It was so much fun. The shower was very elegant with circus themed food. So, it was so yummy! They had huge turkey hot dogs, kobe beef burgers, funnel cakes, popcorn, peanuts, etc. So, being pregnant, it was perfect for my cravings. I brought the cake...and it was so much fun to make.

I saw lots of friends I haven't seen in a while. Mom and Court were there too, so we had lots of girl time with no kiddos. Thanks to daddy again for watching Nais so mommy could get away for a while.

Here is a picture of Cortney with some of the people that helped out with the shower. She looks so cute pregnant! Congrats to Cortney and Jason and soon to be Baby Ace.

Is that a tooth I see...

Naison is finally getting a 3rd tooth! It is the top left front tooth...and the right tooth is not far behind. I was starting to get a little worried that he wasn't getting many teeth, but I am pretty sure they are all coming soon.
AND...he can finally say "mama"!!! He says mom sometimes and mama. He still doesn't say it as much as dada but at least he can say the word. I am sure I will hear it enough as he gets older anyways.

Baby Shower time...for Vanessa!

I attended a baby shower for our long time friend Vanessa this weekend. I made the cake, with Shelli's decorating help of course. She's my sidekick! Naison got to stay home with Daddy so mommy could have some girl time.
Vanessa is having a boy and is due February 22nd, which is smack in the middle of me and Court. Her baby will be named Cade! I had a great time at the shower, especially catching up with old friends. My dumb camera ran out of battery, so I only have a couple pictures. It's not my fault, I charged it but it doesn't last long. I better have a new camera by the time my baby is born!

I even won a baby game! You had to draw a pic of a baby on a paper plate while holding it on top of your head, without looking! And Vanessa picked mine as the best, I was shocked!
Thanks to all the girls who hosted the shower and congrats to Vanessa and Zack!

Ladies that lunch!

We met a few friends for lunch last week so we could catch up and show off babies. We went to this breakfast place called "Over Easy". I love breakfast for lunch, and so does Naison! Thanks for meeting us Shelli, Tasha, Gia, and BellaSophia. I finally got to meet little BellaSophia, what a cutie!

It was nice to see you all! Hope to do it again soon!

Ultrasound test for baby #2

I went to the doctor to have a nuchal translucency ultrasound screening this past week. My friend Shelli went with so she could see Baby G too! I just heard back today and the ultrasound was within normal limits so that means there is a very, very low chance that the baby will have any genetic problems! Here is an updated ultrasound picture.

I tried to get the u/s tech to see the gender but the baby wasn't cooperating so I guess we will have to wait a little longer.

New Addition On the Way!

Well, we are having another baby! We are so excited and anxious to find out what "it" is. So for now we will call him or her "Baby G" again. I am 12 weeks today. So in another 6 months we will have our newest member of the Ghaemmaghami family!
I went to the doctor at what I thought was 9 weeks into it but I was actually 10 weeks and 2 days into it. It was nice to find out I was actually farther along than we thought. Every bit counts, especially in the end!

Here is the ultrasound picture from 10 weeks and 2 days.

I will keep everyone updated along the way!

Winter Visitors

We had a few guests come into town this year for Christmas, winter break, and the Bahai conference here in Phoenix. We had the pleasure of hosting some of them in our home, but not all. Varqa was our first visitor. He came from San Antonio, TX for the Bahai conference and stayed with us. We had a great time with him...we went hiking, ate lots of yummy food, and Vafa of course got some table tennis games in.

Next up Nikki, Shelley's sister, came in from Paris with her son Wes. They come every year for Christmas. It was nice this year cause Nais was old enough to play with the other kids. All the cousins got to play on the trampoline on Christmas Day. I love Wes's hair!

Last, but certainly not least, Vafa's dad Iraj came to town from Houston, TX! He stayed with us for a couple nights and with Vafa's sister the rest of the time. We got to see him a lot and it was so nice. Once again, Nais got to play with all of his cousins which is the best!

We figured out that Naison loves to play the piano! Thanks to Shireen who was helping him play! We can't wait to see Baba Iraj again soon!
