Birthday Party for Sam and DD

A couple of weekends ago we went to a birthday party at the train park for Kennedy and Sam. I love combined parties. The theme was choo choos and shoes. I made the cake and there was a taco cart and a candy bar. The candy bar was of course the biggest hit ever!

Vafa was on call so my mom came to help out with the kids. I managed once again, to not get very many pics. I at least got some of Naison with his girls. Here he is with DD and with KK. The kids enjoyed juice boxes (which he never gets), candy, cupcakes, and playing on the playground. We never made it to the train to take a ride. Nais was too interested in the candy.

Tara's daughter Tessa and Kian totally have a crush on each other. Here they are kissing...totally on their own! Here is a picture of Sam and DD too! I love them! Happy birthday!!! (thanks to tara for these last pics)

6 and 7 months

This last month has flown by. I blinked and Kian is already 7 months old. I didn't even have time to blog about 6 months.
Here are stats from his 6 month appointment:
Weight: 20lbs 14oz-92%
Height: 28in-90%
Here are Naison's stats from his 6 month appointment:
Weight: 19lbs
Height: 26.75in
So, Kian is still on the path to be bigger than Nais. We will see. Oh, and he wears 12-18 month clothes. Whoa!

Here is Kian at 6 months and Nais at 6 months:

Here is Kian's 7 month pic:

Kian is pretty much sitting on his own now and playing with lots of toys. He loves to grab anything he can...hair, jewelry, food, toys, etc! I have a feeling he will be getting into more than Nais ever did. He also eats a lot more now. He eats snacks like o's, mum mums, and crackers. He refuses to take bottle so mommy can never be far away. He has the best laugh when you can get him to laugh out loud really hard.
Nais is doing great. He loves to sing twinkle little star and abc's and can count to about 12. He knows most of his shapes and a lot of his colors. He is starting to talk a lot. He comes up with some crazy things. His most common words these days are "I dood on it" meaning "I want to do it". He gives the best kisses. Watch out ladies. He will grab your face and kiss you and make the kiss noise really loud. I love that boy!

Update

I will just give an overall update of whats been going on around here lately. I have been running a lot with my friend Shelli because we are training to run a half marathon in March. I have never run much in my life so why I decided to do it now, I have no idea. I am so glad I did though. I find running to be very mind clearing and relaxing. So,the big day is March 3rd. Wish me luck.

The kids were both kind of sick in the middle of January. Kian had RSV but not too bad. We just had to do steam showers and have a humidifier in his room. He would also throw up every morning form all the mucus he swallowed in the night. He would cough so hard and make himself gag and the vomit....poor little guy. He also started waking up in the middle of the night which I thought we were over already. Guess when he is sick it disturbs his sleep. Nais never had that problem. Nais did pick up a little viral thing from Kian but he just had a cough for a few days. I think we had a pretty good winter as far as illness goes. My sweet mother came over a lot to help while they were sick so I could still go and exercise. Thanks mom!

Other than that we are doing great! I love my little family and couldn't be happier. I am busy, but happy!

Snow Day with KK

The Aviano community put on an annual snow day the weekend we got back form TX. Kirst and KK came over and we headed to play in the snow. There were big piles of snow to play in and there was also some ice blocking going on. It was a fun little outing to keep the kids occupied.

Houston trip

Well, once again I am totally behind on my blogging. I can blame this on many things...running to train for a half marathon, kids being sick, baking, etc. I will update you all on those things in my next couple of posts. This post is all about our TX trip back in the beginning of January.
We went to visit Vafa's family in Houston. This was Kian's first flight and he did great! Naison did pretty well thanks to the iPad and bribes.

We stayed at Vafa's parents house with uncle Victor and we visited aunt Valeh, uncle Leo, and Alex almost every day. This trip was so much fun because the kids are getting to be old enough to enjoy things. The first couple of days consisted of running and playing at the park, a visit from the Guequierre family, and a trip to the Children's museum.

The next few days were spent hanging with family, eating yummy food, playing at Chuck E Cheese, visiting the zoo, and riding the train in the park.

My favorite part of all the outing we had was feeding the giraffes at the zoo. Thanks to auntie Valeh for taking us all over Houston and showing us a great time.

We also got a chance to visit a local carnival. The boys had fun on this little dino ride. Here are a few family shots with the grandparents. Thanks Mama Shahnaz and Baba Iraj for the wonderful hospitality.

We had a fabulous time in Houston and we missed seeing auntie Neda this trip...but, we will see them in April for Vic and Neda's wedding!!! Yep, Victor finally proposed. We got the good news while we were in Houston. Congrats to them!!! We are so excited.
