Busy week!

Last week was a busy week. We had lots of playdates, I had an OB apt and ultrasound, Vafa and I went to a wedding, and it was Father's day! So, here are the updates!!
First, the wedding...Congrats to Dr. Loftus and his new bride! Court came and babysat so we had a fun night out together.

Next we had some playdates. It's getting hot in AZ, so we headed to the Children's Museum and met Sam, Kaylynn, and Payson (and their parents of course). We also had a water day with my mom's club that I am in.

Then, I had an OB appointment and an ultrasound (I am 35 weeks now). The ultrasound showed that my amniotic fluid is low so I have to get a repeat in 12 day to make sure it isn't any lower. They are not too concerned right now and there isn't really anything I can do to make it come up. So, we just have to see next time. Other than that, everything is going just fine with this pregnancy. We got to see our new baby boy again on the ultrasound and can't wait to get to meet him!
I am also going to be moving Naison into his new room this week. It is almost totally put together, just waiting on a couple of things to be delivered and then we will make the switch. I hope he loves his new room!

Today is Father's Day! We are not big on "days" but we did a little bit to celebrate. We started the morning with some water playing outside and then we went to breakfast with daddy! Next we all took naps and then had dinner at my moms. Overall, it was a fun weekend. We love you Vafa!!!!

Congrats to the Grads!

This past academic year has been super busy for Vafa since he has been the interim surgical residency director at Banner Good Sam. His job has pretty much doubled and he spends a lot of time at the hospital. This past weekend the chief residents (5th years) graduated from the program. I am so proud of my husband for all of the time, energy, and teaching he has dedicated to these residents to get them through this year.
The graduation was held at the Biltmore Resort and it was a black tie event. So, I am pregnant, which makes for a hard time finding a black tie dress that looks cute. However, one ofmy friends had the perfect dress for me to wear! Thanks Shelley F for hooking me up with a nice, fancy dress to wear!
Here is Vafa with all of the chiefs. Congrats to all of them for completing this monumental stage in their life!

Here I am in my dress and with my man! I love him!

Here are some other pics from the event, which my dad took. He was the hired photographer!

So, while I am glad this year is over....it means another year is starting and a whole lot more work. Hang in there honey...hopefully they find a new director STAT! I know he will do a great job and I am so proud of what he has already done.

Beach Trip!

We headed to Newport Beach a couple of weekends ago with the Sylvias! The car was packed...4 adults, 2 kids, and all of our luggage. It was a fun road trip I have to say. The kids did great on the way there. Once we got there, we grabbed some dinner and then put the kiddos to bed...it was late.
The next morning we set out to have some breakfast and some beach time.

This trip was so relaxing, the kids played great together, we had lots of good food, and lots of fun things to do!

While we were at the fun zone we had a funnel cake...it was sooooo good, and a chocolate covered frozen banana. I have to admit, my favorite part of this trip was all the yummy food...but what can I say, I'm pregnant!
We stayed at Tyson's dad's beach house, and it was right on the beach, so we did a lot of walking around and playing in the sand. It was so nice to be so close to the beach.
KK and Nais got to do a lot of playing and loving on each other.

The last morning we were there, we stopped by the fire station on our way back from breakfast so the kids could see the fire truck. They loved it! Then we headed to the playground on the beach for one last playtime. Then we packed up the car and headed back home. We had an amazing time...thanks Sylvias for taking us to the beach!
